On February 9, 2022, the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) announced the list of newly elected Members and International Members for 2022. Dr. ZHANG Hongjiang, Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Institute for AI Industry Research, Tsinghua University (AIR), was elected as an International Member for his outstanding technical contributions and leadership in the field of multimedia computing.
Election to the National Academy of Engineering is one of the highest professional honors for engineers, recognizing individuals who have made "outstanding contributions to engineering research, practice, or education".
