Weizhi Ma, Associate Researcher / Associate Professor at the Institute for AI Industry Research (AIR), Tsinghua University. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research there. His primary research interests include intelligent information retrieval and intelligent healthcare. He has published over 100 papers in top-tier AI conferences such as SIGIR and leading international journals including Nature Medicine. His honors include the First Prize of the Qian Weichang Award for Chinese Information Processing Science and Technology (twice), the EMNLP 2024 Best Resource Paper Award, and the SIGIR 2020 Best Student Paper Nomination Award. He has been selected for the first cohort of Tsinghua University’s “Shuimu Scholars” Program, the 7th China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Young Talent Support Program, and the Beijing Science and Technology Rising Star Program. He currently serves as Secretary-General of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPS) and as an Associate Editor of ACM Transactions on Information Systems (TOIS) (CCF A Journal).
