On April 12, the donation cememomy of Xiaomi to Tsinghua University was held at Xiaomi Technology Park in Beijing. Xiaomi will set up the "Xiaomi AI Innovation Research Fund" at the Institute for AI Industry Research, Tsinghua University (AIR) to encourage innovative research in frontier fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics and healthcare, as well as to support the construction of practical courses for students from the Department of Electronics, School of Software, Department of Automation and Department of Computer Science to promote students' innovation growth. Jun Lei, founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Group, representatives of Tsinghua alumni, and Yong Qiu, president of Tsinghua University, attended the donation ceremony.
