Ya-Qin Zhang, Chair Professor of Tsinghua University and Dean of Institute for AI Industry, Tsinghua University (AIR), recently delivered a speech titled Toward Autonomous Driving.
Focusing on three major sections: the development background of autonomous driving, single vehicle intelligence and vehicle-road collaboration, and AI algorithm application, Zhang discussed in depth the fundamental changes that are taking place in the field of autonomous driving in the context of artificial intelligence development, and made a long-term outlook on the future.
We are currently in the digitalization 3.0 period, including the digitization of the physical and biological worlds, where the digitization of the physical world, i.e. "the physicalization of the Internet" - cars, roads, traffic, factories, power grids, machines, and even all mobile devices, homes and cities are being digitized.
